We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join our growing business and take responsibility for the financial management of a diverse property portfolio, alongside a busy Galway city-centre hotel, bar and restaurant operation.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on role for a commercially minded finance professional who can work closely with ownership and senior management and play an important part in the continued growth and development of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

· Full financial control and oversight across the group

· Preparation of monthly management accounts

· Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

· Monitoring financial performance across our property and hospitality businesses

· Reporting directly to ownership and senior management

· Management of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll controls

· VAT, PAYE and other statutory reporting and compliance

· Liaising with accountants, auditors, banks and financial institutions

· Monitoring hotel, bar and restaurant margins, labour costs and operating expenses

· Property portfolio reporting, including rental income, expenditure, financing and development costs

· Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and control costs

· Developing and improving financial systems, controls and reporting procedures

· Assisting with future investments, acquisitions, developments and business expansion

The Ideal Candidate will have:

· A minimum of 5 years’ relevant finance or accounting experience

· Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience

· Excellent budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management skills

· Strong commercial awareness

· Experience within hospitality, property or a multi-company environment would be a significant advantage

· Excellent organisational and communication skills

· The ability to work independently and directly with business owners and senior management

· A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

A recognised professional accounting qualification would be highly desirable.

Salary & Package

€60,000–€90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
