Salary

€75,000–€95,000 DOE, plus company vehicle, pension, phone and laptop (typical market range for experienced project managers in the region). 


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of electrical installation projects from contract award through to final handover. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects while ensuring safety, quality, programme, profitability and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Manage projects from pre-construction to completion.

  • Develop and maintain project programmes.

  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical and main contractor interfaces.

  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

  • Chair weekly project meetings.

  • Monitor labour productivity and programme performance.

Commercial Management

  • Manage project budgets and forecasts.

  • Track costs against budget.

  • Identify and manage variations.

  • Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors.

  • Review subcontractor accounts.

  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyors to maximise project profitability.

Site Management

  • Manage Site Supervisors and Project Engineers.

  • Ensure sufficient labour and resources are available.

  • Monitor quality of installations.

  • Ensure compliance, BCAR and Safe Electric requirements where applicable.

  • Resolve technical issues quickly.

Client Management

  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and design teams.

  • Attend progress meetings.

  • Provide weekly reports on:

    • Programme

    • Commercial status

    • Health & Safety

    • Risks

    • Procurement

    • Labour resources

Health & Safety

  • Promote a strong safety culture.

  • Ensure compliance with company H&S procedures.

  • Complete site audits.

  • Investigate incidents where required.

Quality & Commissioning

  • Ensure installation quality meets specifications.

  • Manage testing and commissioning.

  • Coordinate O&M manuals.

  • Manage snagging through to completion.

  • Achieve smooth project handover.


Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 5+ years’ experience managing commercial electrical projects.

  • Strong understanding of electrical installations.

  • Excellent knowledge of Irish regulations.

  • Strong commercial awareness.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Full clean driving licence.
